During the 18th International Tourism and Related Industries Exhibition in Tehran, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education visited the North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences' booth to view the achievements and capabilities of this university in the field of health tourism and providing medical services to domestic and foreign patients, and discussed with the university chancellor.

In line with internationalization of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS), and following the invitation letter from NKUMS Chancellor, a delegation from Ahal region of Turkmenistan headed by their governor paid a visit to Imam Hassan Hospital.

NKUMS Director of Public Relations & International Affairs said: Following the MoU signed between NKUSM and Kardan Sharq Institute of Health Sciences of Afghanistan, the first training course was held for the faculty members of this institute.

NKUMS Vice-Chancellor of Research and Technology announced the participation of this university in holding the 3rd International Congress of Vector-Borne Diseases and the 5th National Congress of Medical Entomology of Iran.

A workshop on “international ranking of universities and reviewing NKUMS rank in ranking systems” was held in NKUMS.

In the meeting of signing a memorandum of understanding between NKUMS and Kardan Sharq Institute of Afghanistan, Dr. shahinfar, NKUMS chancellor mentioned the capacities of the university including student and faculty members exchange, short courses and research projects and said: signing this MoU is one of our plans to strengthen academic ties with 57 Islamic countries.

NKUMS Chancellor said: To implement the MoU between Ghalib and NKUMS and in order to attract students and foster collaborations, the first short training course titled “Research Methods in Medicine & Health Sciences” was held for dentistry and medicine faculty members of Ghalib University.

In the ceremony of unveiling the poster and the website of ICSP, NKUMS Chancellor emphasized strengthening of science diplomacy in health and said: achieving this goal requires international activities and the congress is planned to fulfil this requirement.
