Office of Vice-Chancellor for Health of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS) was established simultaneously with the establishment of the university in 2005. The office was promoted along with other parts of the university. It carries the responsibility of the community health preservation and promotion.
The NKUMS Office of Vice-Chancellor for Health started while urban family physician plan in Iran was begun. This office provides healthcare services and support for the whole province.

Duties
Supervision on the fulfillment of the health tasks
Carrying out inspection of the affiliated departments and supervision on the healthcare affairs
Studying the reports related to the health learning activities and providing proper guidance for making progress in in the educational programs
Cooperation with other healthcare related institutions in order to promote public health
Conducting necessary searches in workshops in order to recognize work related diseases and putting forward suggestions to prevent them
Official decision making
Taking part in providing health, treatment and educational plans
Supervision and participation in providing health and treatment standards
