Dr. Esmaeil Garivani, M.D., Orthopedic Surgeon, is now Director of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences Office of International Affairs.

Responsibilities:

Managing the Persian website of International Affairs and the English website of the university

Providing advice on the internationalization of the university in the fields of treatment, education, research and technology

Assisting in the implementation of international programs in various fields of the university

Carrying out international correspondence of the university

Verification of documents of graduates, staff and faculty members of the university for submission to universities and other institutions abroad

Receiving and reviewing the files of non-Iranian applicants for study at the university

Carrying out translations required by the university

Planning and coordinating visits of foreign guests to the university

Preparing international contracts and memorandums of understanding of the university

A delegation from Turkmenistan headed by the Governor of Ahal region visited Imam Hassan Hospital

In line with internationalization of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS), and following the invitation letter from NKUMS Chancellor, a delegation from Ahal region of Turkmenistan headed by their governor paid a visit to Imam Hassan Hospital.

In this visit, Dr. Shahinfar introduced NKUMS’ capabilities in all areas of health, treatment and medical education and research.

The delegation consisted of Turkmenistan Consul General in Iran, Head of Ahal Health Management Organization, Head of Health and Disease Control, and also Gokdepe general hospital surgeon and senior physician.

Imaging department, Surgery department, VIP and international patients’ department, gastroenterology subspecialty department, telemedicine, skill lab, smart hospital project were visited by the Turkmen delegation.

To demonstrate how Iran healthcare system provides health services to people in the most distant places of the province, and to introduce NKUMS Research Center for Natural Products and Medicinal Plants two booths were set up in the hospital educational ward.

At the end of the visit, a formal meeting was held with the presence of the officials of two parties. In this meeting Turkmenistan declared their satisfaction with the visit and their willingness to follow the cooperation between through the official corridors.

Ilyas Gaiypov, Turkmenistan Consul General also made several suggestions to facilitate the admission of Turkmenistan patients in Imam Hassan Hospital.
