The School of Public Health at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS) was formally established in 2008, following the approval of the 186th session of the Council for the Development of Medical Universities. However, the roots of this school date back to 2005, when two undergraduate programs in Disease Control and Family Health were launched with an initial cohort of 40 students.

In 2014, the new School of Public Health building was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Health. Located within the NKUMS main campus, the building spans 10,000 square meters of land with a 2,200 square meter infrastructure. It houses state-of-the-art laboratories, a central library, dedicated teaching and research facilities, a conference hall, and other educational amenities.
