School of Medicine
The School of Medicine at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS) was officially established in 2009, following the formation of North Khorasan province and the independent development of the university. The school began its operations with the admission of the first cohort of medical students in 2009, and it received final approval from the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in 2011.

Previously, disciplines such as Radiology, Laboratory Sciences, and Midwifery were housed within the School of Medicine but were later transferred to the newly established School of Allied Medical Sciences.
Over the years, the School has admitted 23 cohorts of students, with 11 cohorts having graduated. Many of its alumni have successfully passed national board exams and now serve in prestigious medical centers across Iran. To date, 341 graduates have completed their medical education at the school.

The educational mission is supported by a dedicated academic team of 125 faculty members, committed to providing high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based education.
The school building, located on the main university campus in Bojnurd, covers a total area of 4,097 square meters. It includes fully-equipped laboratories (Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology), a Department of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, modern classrooms, a study hall, and administrative offices—all designed to enhance the educational and research experience.
