Eligibility for Admission & Academic Credential Verification

 

To be eligible for admission at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences (NKUMS), international applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

A) Legal Eligibility for Study

The applicant must not have any legal restrictions on pursuing higher education in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

B) Eligible Programs of Study

Applicants may only apply for programs open to international students as per national educational regulations.

 

Note 1: *Admission to any program that is restricted for foreign nationals is prohibited.

Note 2: *Simultaneous enrollment in another Iranian university or academic program is not allowed.

 

C) Valid Academic Credentials

Applicants must hold valid diplomas from prior educational levels:

  • High school diploma for undergraduate admission.
  • Bachelor's degree for Master’s programs.
  • Master’s degree for Ph.D. programs.

 

Note 3: *All transcripts and diplomas issued by foreign institutions must be:

 

    * Endorsed by the Iranian embassy or consular offices in the applicant’s country

    * Or authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran

    * Accompanied by an official Persian translation if not originally in English.

 

Note 4: *High school diplomas from Afghanistan must be certified by:

 

    * The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan

    * The Embassy of Iran in Kabul

 

Note 5: *Holders of Associate Degrees may be admitted to undergraduate programs.

Credit transfer is subject to departmental approval.

 

Note 6: *Admission of non-Iranian residents of Iran must comply with Ministry of Interior regulations, as outlined in the National Entrance Exam guidelines.

 

D) Departmental Approval for Graduate Studies

Applicants to Master's or Ph.D. programs must obtain preliminary academic approval from the relevant department and faculty before submitting to the Office of Education.
