Physical Eligibility for Medical and Paramedical Programs
Applicants must meet specific physical and mental health standards to be eligible for admission to medical and allied health programs at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences.
Acceptable Physical Disabilities for Certain Fields
Some physical impairments are considered *non-restrictive* for specific programs. Examples include:
- Pharmacy, Radiology, Radiotherapy: One eye or one ear; missing 1–3 fingers (except thumb); one leg with prosthetic.
- Physiotherapy, Anesthesia, Occupational Therapy: One eye and one ear, or only one functioning ear or eye.
- Nutrition Sciences: One ear and one eye; missing both legs but able to walk with prosthetics; missing one finger (except thumb).
- Operating Room Technology: One functioning ear.
- Laboratory Sciences: One ear or one leg with prosthetic.
- Optometry: One ear and one leg; all other body parts must function normally.
- Environmental & Occupational Health Engineering: One functioning eye, ear, or hand.
Full Physical and Mental Fitness Required
Applicants to the following programs must have full physical and mental health:
- Medicine
- Dentistry
- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Other Clinical Programs
