Nationality:

Applicants must meet the following conditions to be eligible for admission as international students:

 

A) Non-Iranian Nationality

Applicants must not hold Iranian citizenship.

Note 1: * Dual nationals (Iranian and non-Iranian) are not eligible for international admission.

Note 2: * Applicants whose father is Iranian, even if holding a foreign passport, are not eligible.

Note 3: * According to provincial regulations, applicants from Afghanistan and Iraq are not eligible for admission.

Note 4: * Immigrant non-Iranian applicants who have resided and studied in Iran are not eligible. If any such case is discovered after provisional admission, it will be considered void.

 

B) Legal Residency

Applicants must have no legal restriction on staying in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

A verification letter from the Iranian embassy in the applicant’s country or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran is required to confirm eligibility.

 

C) Residence Location

Admitted students are required to reside in the provincial capital city (Bojnurd).

Note 5: *Applicants whose mother is Iranian are not eligible for admission to North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences.

 

D) Valid Identification Documents

Non-scholarship applicants must provide one of the following:

 

  • Valid passport with visa and residence permit
  • Refugee booklet
  • ID card issued by the Bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs (BAFIA) – applicable for Afghan and Iraqi nationals.

**Identification documents issued by political parties or foreign organizations will not be accepted.

 

Note 6: *The expiration dates on ID cards issued by BAFIA are not considered limiting.

 

E) Final Admission Process

Both scholarship and non-scholarship applicants must:

1. Obtain a student passport from their embassy,

2. Apply for a student visa,

3. Receive a general eligibility approval from the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.

 

Only then will final admission be issued and enrollment begin in the next available academic semester.

 

Note 7: *For identity document verification of Afghan and Iraqi nationals, the latest official circular issued by the Ministry of Science will be referenced.

 

F) Family Residency

The university does not guarantee residence permits for family members of admitted students, except for their spouse and children.
