Academic Eligibility Requirements (Specific Academic Conditions)

 

For Undergraduate and General Doctorate (M.D., D.D.S.) Programs:

 

A) Applicants must hold a valid *high school diploma* in either the Experimental Sciences or Mathematics streams (equivalent to the Iranian high school diploma), as well as a Pre-University Certificate (or equivalent). These documents must be officially verified.

 

Note 1: Applicants from countries where the high school diploma is not considered equivalent to Iran’s diploma must complete supplementary courses as required by the university. Successful completion must be confirmed by the University Admissions Council for non-scholarship applicants.

Note 2: Foreign nationals who have graduated from Iranian secondary schools abroad are eligible for admission.

Note 3: Foreign nationals who have graduated from schools within Iran fall under Iranian admission regulations and are not subject to this international student admission process.

 

B) The minimum required GPA (or equivalent):

 

For non-scholarship undergraduate applicants: GPA 12 out of 20

For non-scholarship general doctorate applicants (e.g., M.D.): GPA 14 out of 20

 

C) Applicants to Medicine and Dentistry must also pass an academic and psychological interview conducted by the university.

 

For Master’s Degree Programs:

 

A) Applicants must hold a valid Bachelor’s degree approved by relevant authorities.

B) Minimum required GPA (or equivalent): 14 out of 20

C) The relevant academic department must evaluate the applicant’s academic background.

D) Upon approval by the department, an academic advisor (supervisor) must be assigned to the applicant.

 

 

For Ph.D. Programs:

 

A) Applicants must hold a valid Master’s degree approved by relevant authorities.

B) Minimum required GPA (or equivalent): 15 out of 20

C) Approval of the academic department is required.

D) Upon department approval, an academic advisor must be appointed.
