English Language Proficiency

A) Doctoral applicants whose native language is not English and who have *not* completed their previous (Bachelor’s and Master’s) degrees in English-medium universities are required to submit proof of proficiency in English *prior to their comprehensive examination*. The minimum required score must be obtained in one of the following recognized tests:

TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, MSRT/MCHE, MHLE, TOLIMO, Cambridge FCE, CAE, CPE, English Language GCSE or O-Level, International Baccalaureate (SL), European Baccalaureate.

B) Applicants to undergraduate and master’s programs are expected to have a basic knowledge of English. If necessary, *remedial English courses* may be required based on the assessment of the university’s Language Department.
