In line with the internationalization of the university, one of the key plans of Office of Public Relations & International Affairs is to run the International Patient Department (IPD) in the hospitals and surgery centers of the province. In this regard, 2^nd official meeting of IPD was held on October 31^st, 2018 in the headquarters of NKUMS. In this meeting Chancellor of NKUMS, Vice-Chancellor for treatment, Vice-Chancellor for Education, Dean of the Public Relations & International Affairs and a number of general directors and officials of north Khorasan hospitals and surgery centers were present.

At the beginning of the meeting, the NKUMS Chancellor, Dr. Haghbin, explained about the importance of internationalization of treatment affairs in the province and the potentials available in this area.

Then, Ms. Mohammadian, International Relations Officer of the university clarified on how hospitals and surgery centers should prepare themselves to get the certificate. Preparing the contents for English website of the hospital or the center, filling in the self-assessment checklists, and Completion of information of personnel and physicians of the hospital and center on the Health Tourism Department website were the most important items that were stated.
