Promoting Health Tourism in North Khorasan through holding a Specialized Seminar
A specialized seminar on health tourism, alongside the introduction of the International Patients Department (IPD) of Imam Hassan (AS) Hospital, was held on Thursday, August 21, in the conference hall of the Private Sector Parliament of North Khorasan Province.

According to Webda, the event was attended by Rahman Bardiafrooz, Head of the Tourism Commission of the Chamber of Commerce; the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce; the Deputy for Assemblies and Councils of Bojnourd Chamber of Commerce; the Head of International Affairs at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences; the Director of Imam Hassan (AS) Hospital; the Head of the hospital’s IPD; the Director of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Administration; as well as a group of hotel managers and tourism agencies across the province.
The main objectives of the seminar were to enhance the province’s capacity in health tourism and to present the IPD of Imam Hassan (AS) Hospital as one of the pioneering centers in attracting international patients. The meeting also provided a platform for dialogue and collaboration between hospital management, provincial tourism authorities, and travel industry representatives.
During the program, tourism managers and tour guides were introduced to the latest trends in health tourism and the mechanisms of engagement with international patients. Key topics discussed included procedures for admitting foreign patients, organizing medical tours, and strengthening coordination between hospitals and travel agencies.
