According to Webda, this session was organized following the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ provincial office, with the aim of establishing a suitable platform for the admission of international patients as well as foreign students.

 

During the meeting, the proposal of registering a health tourism company in North Khorasan was raised, with an emphasis on utilizing this opportunity to introduce the province’s medical and educational capacities. Participants emphasized that by creating a facilitation mechanism and supporting intermediary companies, Turkmen patients could be referred to healthcare centers in Bojnourd — a step that would not only enhance health indicators but also contribute to the growth of the province’s tourism industry.

 

In the meeting, Dr. Hashemi, Chancellor of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences, highlighted the infrastructure already established in the field of health tourism, stressing that the realization of these capacities requires joint cooperation and active involvement of the private sector.

He also outlined the university’s specialized services, medical facilities, and welfare provisions, reaffirming the institution’s readiness to support international collaborations.

 

Another key topic discussed was the potential for admitting medical students from Turkmenistan. Explanations were provided regarding admission requirements, tuition fees, Persian language training, dormitories, and welfare services.

 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation visited Imam Hassan (AS) Hospital in Bojnourd, and it was agreed that further planning and follow-up measures would be carried out in the coming days.
