On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Dr. Mohammad Amin Younesi Haravi stated in an interview with Webda that the process of establishing the university’s profile for participation in THE ranking began last year. He explained that the fundamental requirement for entry into this system is the publication of at least 150 articles annually and a total of 1,000 articles within five consecutive years in Scopus. Given that the university meets these criteria, its profile has now been officially completed.

 

Dr. Younesi Haravi further noted that the results of THE ranking will be announced in mid-October of the current year, at which time the standing of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences will be determined. This marks the first-ever participation of the university in this global evaluation system.

 

He added that the key performance indicators assessed in THE rankings include research, citations, and teaching (each with a 30 percent share), international outlook (7.5 percent), and industry income (2.5 percent).

Emphasizing the significance of this achievement, Dr. Younesi Haravi stated that inclusion in this ranking aligns with the university’s internationalization strategy and its mission to enhance global scientific visibility. He underlined that this initiative, strongly supported by the Ministry of Health, can play a vital role in attracting international students and securing academic representation in global platforms.
