National Convention by Supervisors of Non-communicable Diseases Departments, Bojnourd

This convention organized in Bojnourd welcomed the head of the non-communicable diseases center in Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
About 70 percent of the health problems appeared in our societies belongs to the non-communicable diseases for which all the attempts are employed by departments of family health, environmental health, health training and hospital approaches against diseases in general and non-communicable diseases in particular, the university chancellor stated in this meeting, according to Web Da report.
Dr. Ibrahim Golmakani stated: The health and treatment system in our country, especially in its villages, has provided us with much achievements with possibility of international promotion; however we could not progress to be updated alongside world developments.
He explained: We cannot employ a passive combat with the diseases appearing with different conditions day by day, but we need to step intelligently with predication and planning; and even we should set aside traditional prevention and go through the scientific researches.
The head of the non-communicable diseases center in Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education stated: The health system must present an active function and should get out of its passive condition.
Dr. Ahmad Koosha said: The public health requirements are on changing at present, so that the health system must proceed actively and updated.
He added: We need to go forward to have an effective combat against non-communicable diseases; no screening, but risking and prevention.
