Health education course was established in 2016 at the school of Health. Master of Sciences in Health Education aims at teaching health principles to the public and changing Unhealthy behaviors in the society and attempts to bring down the costs of diseases through education as the first level of the prevention and upgrading and promoting the general knowledge of the public.
Being based on education has led to an easier acceptance of those students having a good basement knowledge or interested in human sciences courses such as educational technology, psychology and sociology rather than students involved in medical fields.
The role of health education is to offer effective solutions for keeping and promoting physical, mental, social and spiritual health of the public relying upon the latest scientific papers.
The main strategy of this group is to design and compare the application of theories and patterns in health education and produce local theories relying upon quantitative and qualitative research methods. We hope that graduates of this major have been trained skillful enough to play their roles in various fields of education, research, communication, support, management and advisory. The ultimate purpose of this group is to apply the best teaching methods in order to help the communities adopt the healthy life approach, nationally and internationally.
In this department, we committed ourselves to integrate the evidence-based approach into teaching and learning procedures so that graduates would have a better future professional life.
